In celebration of the International Women’s Day 2019 and its theme #BalanceforBetter,
iServe2050 in collaboration with the Crater Library & Publisher, and Enugu Literary Society calls for submission of poems which celebrate women.
The poems must have a strong imagery, emotion and interesting use of language. The winning entry will be published on the web blogs of iServe2050, Crater Library & Publisher, and Enugu Literary Society.
The winning entry shall also win a prize of N50,000.
Submission guidelines.
- Entry must be an unpublished work (print or online)
- Only one entry is allowed
- We do not consider simultaneous submissions, i.e. work that is being considered elsewhere.
- Please put your name and phone number at the foot of the page, as this helps us keep track.
- Please indicate “POETRY SUBMISSION” on your subject line. Submissions without “Poetry Submission” in the subject line will be deleted unread.
- Forward submission to mycontent@thecraterlibrary.com.
Competition closes on the 20th of March, 11:30pm WAT. The winner shall be announced on the 31st of March 2019.

A winner hasn’t been announced. On Saturday, we put out a public notice on all our social media pages announcing that it has been postponed to 7th of April. This is due to the sheer number of entries received. We apologize for the unexpected delay.
