Crater Library & Publishers FAQ
Content Creators, authors, writers and publishers are free to send or upload free complimentary e-copies of their work if desired. We support and encourage open access resources especially for research
We also accept print copies from authors who want to donate free books for the Crater Literary Festival. Contact us via litfest@craterlibrary.com if you want to bless our festival attendees with your books.
However, there may be exceptions to this, and Crater Library & Publishers reserves the right to judge whether submitted e-resource is suitable to be added to its archive.
It is important that Crater Library & Publishers protects the intellectual property rights of people contributing original material. However it is also important that any e-resource added to the collection is of practical use to Crater Library & Publishers patrons.
All text documents and images are reviewed to ensure that they comply with our rules before it is approved for viewing and download. We aim to make text documents and images available within 72 hours of submission, but this may vary, depending on the amount of work required.
For video and audio files, a different system of uploading is necessary due to file sizes and this also applies to text and images where the file size exceeds 50mb
PDF is the preferred format. However we will accept the following:
.pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf
Images
Images should be compiled into a PDF document to be compatible for download as an eBook. We accept:
.jpg, .bmp, .png
Audio
.wma, .mp3
Video
.wmv
NOTE: If you wish to submit a work but cannot provide it in any of the above formats, please contact us via mycontent@thecraterlibrary.com and we will do our best to find a solution.
To help us make your work as accessible as possible to other library patrons we have provided a submission form for you to complete when you click publish. . This requires you to provide some basic details about your work and to agree to the Creative Commons license.
If you are also having troubles uploading on our website, please forward your e-book and cover image to mycontent@thecraterlibrary.com with book title as subject.
